How can I tell if a Forvis Mazars vacancy is genuine?
We are aware that fraudulent job adverts and recruitment scams sometimes target job seekers. Forvis Mazars vacancies are advertised through our official careers website and authorised recruitment channels. Emails from our recruitment team will be sent from a @mazars.co.uk email address.
We will never ask candidates to make payments, purchase equipment, or provide bank details as part of the application process. If you are unsure whether a vacancy or communication is genuine, please contact our recruitment team directly before responding.
Do you offer ad-hoc work experience?
We’re unable to offer ad-hoc work experience placements.
This is because we run structured programmes designed to provide a consistent and high-quality experience for everyone. By doing this, we make sure all students have fair access to opportunities and the right level of support throughout.
We’re also unable to accommodate requests outside of these programmes due to safeguarding and compliance requirements.
Our work experience and internship opportunities will open again in January 2027. In the meantime, you can explore our virtual work experience programme on Springpod, which is a flexible way to build your understanding of professional services and develop your skills.
Is there a closing date for applications?

I’m not sure which business area to apply for, what should I do?
That’s completely okay. Choosing the right path can take time. We recommend exploring the different business areas on our website to get a feel for where your interests and strengths might align. Think about what excites you, what kind of work you enjoy, and where you see yourself growing.
You can also meet our Early Careers Team at events throughout the year. They’re here to answer your questions and help you make an informed decision.

Is there flexibility in start dates?
Our early careers roles, including summer internships and work experience, have fixed start dates so that everyone can take part in our firm-wide induction. You’ll need to have fully completed your studies, including any final assessments or dissertation submissions, before this date.
Our intake for 2027 is 6th September 2027.
If you’re unsure whether you’ll be ready in time, we recommend applying for the next intake instead.
My qualification hasn’t been formally awarded, can I still apply?
Yes, you can still apply. However, you’ll need to have formally completed your studies and received your qualification before you join us. This includes any degree or master’s qualification you’re currently working towards.
We’ll ask for confirmation and proof of your qualifications before your start date, so it’s important that everything is finalised by then.
What is the starting salary?
We offer a competitive starting salary for all early careers roles, which increases as you progress and pass your professional exams.
If you’re successful in securing a role, full details about your salary and benefits will be shared as part of your offer. We’re committed to rewarding your growth and supporting your development every step of the way.
Where will I work?
Can I reapply to Forvis Mazars if I have applied previously?
You can apply once per academic year (September to August) for an early careers role at Forvis Mazars.
If you’ve already applied for a role starting in, for example, September 2027, you won’t be able to apply again for another role with the same start date. However, you’re welcome to apply for future opportunities such as roles starting in September 2028 when they open.
To keep the process fair for everyone, we take duplicate applications seriously. If you’re unsure whether you’re eligible to apply again, please contact us at mcareers@mazars.co.uk before submitting your application.
Can I apply to more than one role?

Forvis Mazars is a unique place to work, so our application process is designed to help us understand if we’re the right fit for each other. We want to get to know the real you, your strengths, your motivations, and your potential.
We look for people who are:
- Collaborative – You enjoy working with others and building strong relationships.

To find out more about where we use AI in our process and where your application will be assessed by a human, please check out our selection page.
I’m finishing/have just finished my GCSEs – can I apply for one of your school leaver roles?
Not just yet. Our school leaver apprenticeship roles require A-Levels, Advanced Highers, BTECs, or equivalent qualifications.
If you’re currently in your final year of study for these, or have already completed them, you’ll be eligible to apply.
If you’re in your earlier years of study, we do have some opportunities for work experience, check out our work experience page to find out more.
I left university/school/education a long time ago, does that matter?
No, we welcome applications from anyone who meets the role requirements, regardless of when you completed your education. What matters most is your potential, your motivation, and how your experiences, academic or otherwise, align with what we’re looking for.
Take a close look at the job descriptions to see if the role is right for you. If it is, we’d love to hear from you.
I have industry experience already and have taken some professional examinations, is an early careers role right for me?
It might be. If you’ve already started a professional qualification or have relevant industry experience, we’ll review your application on a case-by-case basis.
Be sure to include details of any qualifications or exams you’ve completed when you apply. This helps us understand your background and assess whether an early careers role is the best fit or if there’s a more suitable opportunity for you within Forvis Mazars.
What opportunities can I apply for?
Wherever you are in your career journey, whether you’re looking for work experience, an apprenticeship or a graduate programme, there’s an opportunity for you at Forvis Mazars. You’ll have the chance to grow your skills, gain real experience, and build a career where you can belong and make an impact.
The following are our permanent early career trainee programmes:
School leaver apprentice
If you’ve completed (or are on track to complete) your A-Levels, Advanced Highers, BTECs or equivalent, our school leaver apprenticeship could be the right fit. Depending on the role you select, you’ll earn a fully funded professional qualification all while gaining hands-on experience from day one, supported by a team that values your development from day one.
Graduate trainee
If you’ve finished or are close to finishing a university degree, you can join us as a graduate or postgraduate trainee. You’ll be part of a team from the start, take on meaningful work, and have the opportunity to study towards a fully funded professional qualification, all while shaping your future in a firm that’s invested in your success.
Do you offer internships or work experience?
Yes, we offer different ways to explore life at Forvis Mazars and gain valuable experience, wherever you are in your education journey. You’ll have the opportunity to build your skills, connect with others, and see how you can grow, belong and make an impact with us.
Summer internships
If you’re in the penultimate year of your undergraduate degree at university, you can apply for our paid five-week summer internship. It’s a great way to gain hands-on experience, work alongside our teams, and build your network. Perform well, and you may have the opportunity to fast-track to a graduate role. To find out more, please check out our undergraduate opportunities page.
Work experience
If you’re in Year 12 (or S5 in Scotland), we offer a three-day, paid work experience opportunity to help you explore the world of professional services. You’ll get a feel for what it’s like to work here, with insight into our teams, our work, and where a future with us could take you.
You’ll find full details, including programme dates, eligibility and how to apply, on our work experience page.
Virtual work experience (Springpod)
You can also take part in our virtual work experience programme through Springpod. This is a flexible way to learn more about the work we do, build your understanding of professional services, and explore whether a career with Forvis Mazars could be right for you. You can complete this online at any time, at your own pace.
You can register here.
How can I find open vacancies?
All our live vacancies can be found in the ‘View vacancies’ section of our website, and you can filter by service line and office to see if we are recruiting near you.
You can find more information about each of the service lines we recruit for here.
I have a university degree; can I apply for a school leaver apprenticeship?
If you’ve completed a university degree, you’ll be eligible for our graduate programme rather than a school leaver apprenticeship.
Our school leaver route is designed for those who haven’t attended university and are looking to start their career after completing A-Levels, Advanced Highers/Highers, BTECs or equivalent qualifications. It combines hands-on experience with studying towards a fully funded professional qualification, giving you the opportunity to build your skills from day one.
If you’re a graduate, we encourage you to explore our graduate roles. You’ll gain a fully funded qualification which is supported through early responsibility, working alongside experienced professionals, and growing your skills in a supportive environment where you can belong and make an impact.
Can I apply if I’ve already graduated?
Absolutely. If you’ve completed your university degree, you’re eligible to apply for our graduate programme.
You’ll join a team that values your ideas, supports your development, and gives you the opportunity to grow your career from day one while working towards a fully funded professional qualification.
I don’t have the required UCAS points or relevant university degree can I still apply?
Strong academic performance is important; we know that everyone’s journey is different. Forvis Mazars has a flexible approach to academic entry requirements to recruit the right people into the business. We want to set you up for success with your professional qualifications and allow you to reach your full potential.
Our application process looks at your whole self, academic achievements as well as other experiences in which you have grown and developed. We balance your academic results alongside your strengths and capabilities – to ensure that you will be successful in your role with us.
Please note that a small number of specialist roles have specific academic/degree requirements, so please read the job descriptions carefully.
We also consider your achievements in the context of your socio-economic background, so we encourage you to submit your contextual information when completing your application form.
Application process
Do you use AI in your application process? Can I use AI with my application?
We only use AI at the initial stage of our recruitment process to support our online assessment. Candidate responses are scored using deterministic, rule-based algorithms, meaning the same response always produces the same result. We do not use black-box or generative AI to decide scores. The scoring logic is completely explainable, designed to be fair and unbiased. Beyond this, AI is not used.
You may use AI to prepare for an interview or assessment stage, however, we ask that you refrain from using AI during any stage of the recruitment process, for example, during an interview or assessment centre, as it’s important for us to see your authentic self and understand your individual strengths and experiences.
I have been invited to take a video interview but I can’t see a slot?
Don’t worry, new interview slots are released each week.
You’ll receive an email as soon as new times become available. These slots can fill up quickly, so we recommend booking yours as soon as you can.
Please note we’re only able to send two invitations to book your interview. If you haven’t booked a slot after the second invite, unfortunately, we will have to withdraw your application.
Will I be reimbursed for travel for the in-person interview?
I have transferred my application to a new role. Will I have to repeat the application process again?
No, you’ll stay at the same stage of the process.
You won’t need to repeat any assessments. However, we may ask you to share your motivation for applying to a different business area, so we can better understand your interests.
If anything is needed from you, we’ll explain it clearly and guide you through the next steps.
What happens if the role I have applied for is filled?
When you apply, you can select a second-choice office location and service line. If your first-choice role fills before you’ve completed all stages of the process, we’ll do our best to progress your application for your second-choice option and we’ll keep you informed every step of the way.
I have applied for a role, but I can no longer see it on your website – are you still recruiting?
We recruit for most roles on a rolling basis, which means positions may close once we’ve found the right candidate. Some of our roles stay open until they’re filled, while others have fixed deadlines. If a role is no longer visible on our website, it’s likely that applications have closed.
For roles with set deadlines or assessment dates, you’ll find those clearly listed in the job description. Either way, we always recommend applying as early as possible to avoid missing out.
When can I receive an update on my application?
We’ll keep you updated at every stage of the process.
You’ll receive email notifications as your application progresses, so please check your inbox (and your junk folder, just in case). We really appreciate your patience, and we’ll be in touch as soon as we can.
If you’re concerned you haven’t heard from us, feel free to get in touch at mcareers@mazars.co.uk.
I have been invited to take a telephone interview but I can’t see a slot?
Don’t worry, new interview slots are released each week.
You’ll receive an email as soon as new times become available. These slots can fill up quickly, so we recommend booking yours as soon as you can.
Please note we’re only able to send two invitations to book your interview. If you haven’t booked a slot after the second invite, we’ll unfortunately have to withdraw your application.
My email/telephone number has changed – what should I do?
It’s important that we can stay in touch with you.
If your contact details have changed, you can access your personal information in the settings area on your candidate portal.
I require extra time or reasonable adjustments for assessments, what should I do?
How can I practice before I take the Forvis Mazars online assessment?
You don’t need to prepare, just be yourself.
Our online assessment is short, easy to navigate, and starts with warm-up questions to help you feel at ease. It’s designed to understand your natural strengths the ones that drive success at Forvis Mazars, and it adapts to different thinking styles, supporting both diversity and neurodiversity.
To get the most out of the experience:
Find a quiet space where you can focus.
Read the instructions carefully.
Answer honestly and instinctively.
We will also share a video to guide you through what to expect when you are invited to complete the test. Once you’ve completed the assessment, you’ll receive a personalised feedback report highlighting your top two strengths and one area for development, so you’ll gain insights, whatever the outcome.
What are the stages of the application process?
You can find out more about our application process here.
Visa requirements and sponsorship
I have been made an offer to join Forvis Mazars and require visa sponsorship what happens next?
If you’ve accepted an offer and require sponsorship, our Immigration team will initiate the sponsorship process for you around three months before your start date. They’ll confirm the documents needed for the visa application and timelines for the process.
You must have completed your degree or master’s and obtained your qualification before your start date to be able to join Forvis Mazars. This is to ensure your visa application can be processed before you start.
Once the immigration process has started, please ensure you avoid any international travel as this can impact your visa application and start date at Forvis Mazars.
I have international qualifications can I still apply?
Yes, please submit your equivalent qualifications in the education section. If you aren’t sure, please go ahead and apply and we can work out your conversion to UCAS points for you.
We will ask for confirmation and proof of your qualifications before you start work. You must have completed your studies and been awarded your qualification before joining.
I require or may require visa sponsorship, what is the process?
If you are applying for our September 2027 intake and require visa sponsorship, you will need to apply no later than 31 December 2026. We have subsequent deadlines to ensure we can bring candidates through our process to be hired in time to begin and complete visa processing in time for their start dates. These deadlines are non-negotiable and are due to the length of time required to progress through our recruitment process and the application process for a Skilled Worker visa.
Your offer of employment at Forvis Mazars is subject to you having the Right to Work in the UK that lasts the duration of the programme you have applied to. Please let us know on your application form if you require sponsorship to obtain the Right to Work in the UK at any point of being employed by Forvis Mazars.
Please note that we are unable to provide visa sponsorship for the following roles due to the salary requirements established by the Home Office:
- All school leaver roles, including school leaver work experience.
- All undergraduate, internship and placement programmes. However, you may be eligible to apply if you are in full-time education in the UK and hold a valid Student visa for the duration of the internship or placement.
- Graduate roles which are not based in London or Sutton.
The UK Home Office regularly changes its immigration rules. If this happens, and the changes affect your application before your start date, we will be required to change how we manage your application, in line with the new regulations. Many changes in immigration laws have taken place recently, we encourage you to research your position at the outset of your application.
You are required to notify us immediately if your immigration status changes after you’ve submitted your application. For both temporary and permanent roles, you will be asked to provide evidence of your right to work, and you must maintain and be able to demonstrate your right to work throughout the duration of your employment. Please refer to the official UK government website for further information: https://www.gov.uk/browse/visas-immigration/work-visas
Please contact mcareers@mazars.co.uk if you need advice or further information.

What happens if I have technical issues during my online assessment?
In the first instance, please refer to the instructions sent in the invitation email to complete the online assessments. What is the dress code?
What are the working hours like?
We believe in flexibility with purpose.
At Forvis Mazars, we follow a hybrid working model. For us, this means choosing the right workplace each day based on the needs of our clients, the needs of our team and our own needs.
Our approach is that, on average, we will spend at least two or three days at client site or in the office, with the remaining time worked remotely, e.g. from home. This is a whole-of-firm average and will vary depending on the needs of your role, the stage of your development in the role, and the needs of your clients. There is no ‘one-size-fits-all’ rule, determining the right balance will be discussed with your people manager regularly.
What is Forvis Mazars’ approach to sustainability?
At Forvis Mazars, sustainability is embedded in everything we do, for our people, our clients, our communities, and the planet. Guided by five core sustainability pillars, we’re committed to acting with integrity, putting people at the heart of our development, supporting local communities, reducing our environmental impact, and helping clients on their own sustainability journeys.
We believe sustainability is about people as much as the planet. That’s why we invest in inclusive career pathways, responsible business practices, and community partnerships that create long-term positive change. Every team member receives two volunteering days per year to support causes they care about and firm-sponsored initiatives, and we actively encourage fundraising efforts for charities through personal challenges and events. We also support charitable giving through the Forvis Mazars Foundation, which funds a wide range of social initiatives in the UK and abroad.
We’ve also brought forward our net zero target to 2045, with goals validated by the Science Based Targets initiative. From energy and transport to waste and procurement, we’re working to reduce our environmental footprint every day.
By combining global expertise with local action, we aim to build a fairer, greener future where our people can grow, belong and make an impact.
What is Forvis Mazars’ approach to diversity, equity and inclusion?
Inclusion is at the heart of who we are.
At Forvis Mazars, we’re committed to creating an environment where everyone feels they belong and can be their authentic self. Whether you’re applying for a role or already part of our team, we work hard to ensure a level playing field where everyone has the opportunity to grow, belong and make an impact.
